Mike Ratliff is a popular blogger, who runs a blog called “Possessing The Treasure”.   Some time back we started commenting on his blog, responding to some of his post.  Well, how can we put this, our honest comments were not received well. After a few angry e-mail exchanges, we decided that it would not be a good idea for us to waste our time reading or commenting anymore on Mike’s blog.  The last blog we read of Mike’s was entitled “TERMITES!”, we got the strange impression that it was us that he was referring to as pests, and we went back to his blog no more.

Much to our surprise and joy, after posting our Mac Arthur page, we received this e-mail from Mike Ratliff, apologizing to us,  we were happy and responded with the love of God.

Mike has admitted that he has idolized Mac Arthur and his other favorite big shot, RC Sprouls.   Now a few days later, Mike Ratliff goes to the defense of John Mac Arthur, Mike called the Grace to you Church and they told him that this was all about nothing!  Poor lone wolf Bob Johnson, is just another confused, disgruntled visitor of Mac Arthur’s church.    You can find Mike’s defense of Mac Arthur here.

We have sent two e-mails to Mike Ratliff, of which he will not respond to, could be busy, medical problems and all, don’t know, but our guess is, human nature at work, he probably doesn’t respond to what he doesn’t like to hear.  Those e-mails are right here.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, we here at “The Straight Way Church”, don’t hate people, we hate sin, which is unrighteousness in proclaiming Christians. The people we mention in a negative light, we don’t want them to be our enemies, notice that we will say positive things along with the negative, we are not desirous to destroy or attack anyone, if someone feels destroyed or attacked by what we believe to be true, have we sinned by simply being honest and speaking what we believe to be true? Do you think that we fast to smite with the fist of wickedness? Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high. (Isa 58:4 av)  

We do indeed love Mike and wish he gets healthy again before he meets his God. But make no mistake, he will meet his God and we hope that he is able to purge himself of these idols in his heart.  It is not enough to admit that you have idols in your heart and continue to give place to them, while claiming that you have repented of them.

Let me explain,  Mike Ratliff claims that he is repenting of his idols, John Mac Arthur and RC Sprouls, yet what we are saying, and doesn’t it seem obvious to anyone with a bit of wisdom; The idols in the hearts of the Mac Arthurites and the RC Sproulites, are a direct fruit of the preaching and teaching of these two big shots!   That is why we don’t listen to them, that is why we see an Anti-Christ spirit at work!

No man can make Jesus Lord in the lives of the hearers, but by the TRUE Spirit of God, we know that these men do NOT have the Spirit of God, because their teaching elevates themselves in the position of Christ in the hearts of their pupils, that is ANTI-CHRITST! Why don’t you get this?  Must be because you do not posses the Love of God in you? Confessing your idols Mike is good, but revealing as well, get this taken care of before you die, please!  Doesn’t matter whether Bob Johnson is right or wrong in the end!
