Repentance - Rebuke




	Dear fellow travelers, You may or may not know that here at The Straight Way Church, we have a small selection of articles and audios that we have done going back to 1998, on our old and primitive site The Straight Way. You may, or may not know that “we”, that is our family of which I am the head, was very timid and I was very unsure of myself early on, that is why some of my writings sound so defensive, it seemed to me that I was the only one hearing what I was hearing from the Lord. You also may, or may not know that we do not change our old articles, it is us or I, if you will, I have been down the road that I have traveled and I am not ashamed to admit that I am not the same person today that I was 12 years ago. While I am not ashamed of anything I have written and little has changed in our views since then, what mistakes we have made in the past and we have made a few, doesn’t mean that God hasn’t spoken to us, because he surely has! My site has been fairly overlooked until recently, now it seems that our site is getting more and more traffic and my family and I are very thankful to the Lord for this. We know that we have some things to say and by God’s grace and mercy we will continue to do so as long as God allows us. We don’t really put on much of a production here, it seems that is the way the Lord wants it. I always say “It is what it is”, we are not here to glorify ourselves, but we are here to glorify the Lord by our lives and conversation. I have placed this clarification before “We Rebuke The Blind”, because recently it occurred to me that I needed to. We have three proclaiming Christian leaders here that we mention, let me try to explain to you something. We or I am well aware that there are those who the scriptures instruct us to rebuke in general, there are others that the scriptures instruct us to rebuke by name and there are others that the scriptures instruct us to try to save, pull out of the fire, Matt. 18, church discipline. The three men I previously mentioned are somewhat the same, but different cases, if you noticed I basically removed the rebuke of Phil Naessens, he does not qualify to be named, he is not a Matt 18 candidate, I don’t fellowship with him, neither have I ever walked with him in Christ, born his burdens, he has never been my brother in the Lord, he is part of another religious system that I left many years ago, he is not amongst me, he is without. The scriptures plainly speak that we are not to judge those who are without, but those who are within, I attempted to do so and for that I was mistaken. Phil Naessens continues to speak against us, that is his prerogative, but not mine. On Sat. Aug. 4, 2010 I am going to do a radio broadcast found here on this subject, explaining the scriptures and wisdom behind this issue. I remember when I originally started a dialog with Mr. Naessens, I had given him a list of ministers that I would like to rebuke, of course Phil went out and reported that I had a “Hit” list. Well, that has not changed, I still want to rebuke those ministers plus a whole lot more of them, but I won’t directly, they are not Matt 18 candidates, I do not walk with them, I am not a part of their religion or fellowship, it would be foolish for me to even directly ask them to repent, I am in no position to Matt. 18 them! Yes I do generally rebuke them as the Scribes and Pharisees they are, but that has nothing to do with their restoration or repentance as in Matt. 18. I am told not to throw my perils before swine, I am also told to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves, it is the Scribes and Pharisees that carry around a hit list, even going to the law against one another, that is not what I do and it is not what I will do! We defend ourselves before the law, we do not attack with the law or lawyers. Cannot you see that if you want to get on my “hit” list, if that is the way you want to characterize it, you have to meet a criteria that I believe is scriptural, maybe you should consider it a compliment to make the cut! No I don’t rebuke those who are not with us, those building their own kingdom and careers in religious Babylon, I say let the dead bury the dead. I have never met John MacArthur and I don’t care to, I can tell you that I am completely sound and right in my judgment and that which others have said that I simply reported on, I stand behind my MacArthur page. I can tell you that I have a few links to people that I am no fan of, the links are there for your benefit and to make a point if you are listening. With respect to Mr. Steve Lumbley, I did have some low level fellowship with him years ago, I did consider him a Matt 18 candidate, he is not anymore. I do hope that I have been clear enough to praise Mr. Lumbley where praise is due. I wish him well in his personal health issues and I still check to see what is going on over there at Apostasy Watch from time to time. As far as I can tell there is no interest from Mr. Lumbley at all and that is perfectly ok, God is Judge alone and he can make us stand or he can make us fall; those who truly put their trust in the Lord shall not be ashamed. So what are we at The Straight Way Church really trying to say about the following pages at “We Rebuke the Blind”? THE APOSTASY WATCHERS NEED TO BE WATCHED! THE GREATEST EXEGETE IN THE WORLD IS A BLIND MAN, JUST LISTEN TO HIS OWN SAY SO! THE SCRIBES AND PHARISEES ARE JUST AS WICKED AND DEADLY AS THEY EVER WERE!
