What Is Lying, Kids?




	Recently I was accused of lying, a group of biased, self-serving people, a mob, accused me of lying! They of course deny this, they claim to think their charge is true. As a father of a large family, it would trouble me very much if I had a child that was not well liked by the others, and they ganged up on the disliked child and falsely accused them of something they were not guilty of. If I acted accordingly and punished the child being falsely accused, this child would, no doubt, grow up with many problems and I would be a wicked parent . In fact, if you google my name, you will probably find this mob, they are big and I am little, that makes them right, in their minds. Oh yea, I pleaded with them, I tried to explain my self, all to no avail; the more I tried to defend myself, the more rabid they became; I all together despaired of trying to convince them and left their blog! One guy accused me of lying about who sent who an email first, he say’s “Ah we got him, he told a lie by saying that I emailed him first when he emailed me first!” And he proved that I did indeed email him first; the only problem? - I did not claim he emailed me first, I may have said “the first time he emailed me”, but if you carefully look at what I said, it was not a claim that he emailed me first! They wanted to believe this charge, because I am the disliked child. You see people’s emotions and feelings, especially today, are easily manipulated, they rush to judgment based on their feelings and claim that their feelings most certainly represent the facts. Now if the gentleman I previously mentioned was shocked by my lie and wanted to know what I meant by what I said, he would have emailed me or called me with questions before accusing me; he wasn’t interested in the truth, the mob wanted to believe their feelings of dislike for me, rather than acting on the truth of the matter. The title of this short article is “What is Lying, Kids?” Please listen all you fatherless children out there who have never been taught by Godly fathers how to distinguish between the truth and your feelings. A lie is somethings that is said which is not true, by a person who knows that it is not true and says it with the intent to deceive others. When one is accused of lying there are several steps that must be taken, first you verify accurately what is being said, you make sure the person didn’t have a typo or you misunderstood entirely what they said. Secondly you make sure that what is being said is true or not, truth is not an opinion, it is not a spiritual discernment, that would be my spiritual take on it versus yours, truth must be clearly, without question, facts versus untruths. And thirdly you must establish the person’s intention to deceive. That means a person must know that he is lying - which would establish his intention to deceive. Mobs of people who don’t like you never do this, they have their feelings to rely upon, they don’t care about the truth, they don’t carefully study your exact words to see what you said or what you meant, they just pick up stones and start throwing! You have to be careful about believing what you hear on the internet these days. Blogs are not face to face, Blogs don’t replace face to face interaction with people, let me explain, when I am commenting on someone else’s blog, I may comment on something and be totally misunderstood, it may take a full day for someone else who didn’t like what I said to think about it and respond accordingly. And let me tell you my friend, the human imagination is quite the fertile ground; unless a false impression of what is being said, is addressed immediately, the imagination takes over and things can easily get out of proportion. Face to face contact is the way God designed us and is even better than phone contact, in phone contact you cannot read facial expressions, but over the internet is far worse than either of the above options. In internet contact, you have no ability to immediately resolve a misunderstanding, you even can’t be sure, depending on how you read, some people pick up more details when they read than others, and then you got typos, nobody’s perfect, I sure don’t claim to be. No one has the right to accuse anyone of wrong doing, unless they are willing to meet face to face to discuss the issue in a reasonable rational way. Now when people refuse to do the upright thing, then sometimes you just have to go on what you believe, because they are unwilling to be confronted with truth. I implore, any member of this mob, anyone who can finally come to their senses, anyone who really wants to know the truth, call me, if you want face to face, ovoo or skype me, or come knock on my front door. None of these mob members are interested in this, that is why I know that they are emotional wrecks, they aren’t interested in the truth, just their feelings; these folks could never be a good parent to any child, I wouldn’t let them baby-sit my children; yet this is the internet and they can say what they want and I am not at liberty to counter it with truth. I am not afraid to face them, why are they afraid to face me? The reason they won’t face me, is they want to believe their lie! You see my reasoning skills are far greater than theirs and face to face I would back them in a corner and they would have to admit that they were wrong. These guys are never wrong, they have their feeling to back them up! Don’t listen to them, they don’t know me, neither do they like me, nor can they judge what they don’t want to know or understand!
